Wading pools opened on Saturday, May 24! Dozens of locations are open (real-time updates available). The pools are free to use; hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Restrooms are accessible outside recreation centers during the same hours. There are no pool lifeguards, so keep safety in mind while enjoying the wading pools. Also note Folwell Park pool is closed this season due to construction.
“School-site” pool locations open on June 7 in parks adjacent to Minneapolis Public School properties, following the last day of classroom instruction.
Other MPRB aquatics facilities open on June 7 include Webber Natural Swimming Pool – check mineapolisparks.org for times and dates. North Commons Water Park is closed for construction in 2025 and 2026. MPRB staff are finalizing a range of alternatives for swim lessons and other water activities, and will announce details soon.
An interactive pool map is updated through September 1. It shows open pool locations and temporary/seasonal closures for maintenance, repairs or construction. Go to minneapolisparks.org/pools.
Other water activities: Dip into swim lessons, open swim and more. Go to the MPRB Water Activities page for dozens of options, including swim lessons — indoor or outdoor, summer or year-round, and open swim club, canoeing, sailing and other classes, lessons and clubs. Check out all activities at minneapolisparks.org.
