Holiday on 44 – December 5, 6-9:30 p.m.

Camden High School will be one of the hosts for this upcoming returning winter event, Holiday on 44th, which is featured in this issue of the Camden News and on the Internet. Visit the many booths that will fill the school’s gym showcasing community groups and neighborhood businesses. Look for the table of students of the Asian Cultural Club from which members will be selling Hmong eggrolls. Proceeds will be used to purchase free food for the Hmong New Year festivities of Friday, December 19.

The Hmong New Year at Camden High School – Friday, December 19

The 23rd Annual Hmong New Year Celebration will be put on by the dedicated Asian Cultural Club members (pictured) of Camden High School on December 19, the Friday night before winter break. There will be an entertaining show created by students in the auditorium beginning at 6 p.m. with a scrumptious meal following. Enter at door #1 on Newton Ave to attend this free event. Camden staff members Paul Compton and Richard Torgerson are advisors of this creative club, with dozens of members who are currently diligently practicing their presentations of music, dance and acting on stage.
