FNA Community Night – May 6, 6:30 p.m. at 3701 Fremont Ave

Adair Mosley, from the African American Leadership Forum, will be in attendance to speak about a comprehensive plan for development on the Northside. If you are interested in what could happen with all of the empty lots on Lowry, this is the meeting for you. Food and community provided, as usual.

Garden Tool Swap – May 3, 9 a.m.-noon at Folwell Recreation Center

Bring your unwanted garden tools and browse for items that could be useful to you. There will be some seeds available to take home and we will have plants from our partners in community gardening, Sovereign Starts Seedling Company, to give away.  Shop Local for your spring plants at sovereignstartsmn.com/shop.

Let’s get Folwell cleaned up! Sign up to clean your block and we will provide the supplies. Email green@folwell.org to get started, or look for a link to sign up on our website.

Zen on Penn Work Days – Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 36th and Penn

Get involved with growing and eating local, organic food with our urban ag community. Share what you know, or come to learn. No experience necessary– stay for the whole time, or just drop in for an hour. Digging in the dirt will make you feel better. Come try it.

The Story Garden – 35th and Humboldt, looking forward- June 14 we will hold a cooking class with Minneapolis Edible Gardens. June 18 will be our household goods swap– start collecting and organizing your stuff now!
