Construction at North Commons Park is moving quickly. Foundations for the field house are nearly complete, and precast panels will arrive and were to be installed in November. And, as a reminder, while construction continues the community center remains open during school-year hours, offering programming for all ages. As of November 5 construction at the North Commons Park site was about 15% complete (see photo). The new field house is taking shape and the underground cistern that will store rainwater for irrigation use was nearly complete.
Construction began last summer on this major project to expand and transform North Commons Park’s facilities. When complete, the park will serve as a new Northside hub for arts, recreation, athletics and community activities, with new waterpark, three-gym fieldhouse and renovated community center.
